Why PJT?

Why pick PJT?

We know there’s a lot of competition out there willing to give you a Japan experience – so what are the advantages of choosing PJT? We’ll give you 5 good reasons why we think we can do it better!

1. We started it.

We’ll say it – we’re old. PJT was the first and only pop culture tour business in 2003. Since then we’ve had countless custom tours and themed group tours. PJT has had its ups and downs – in fact, several of our former employees started their own brand of pop culture tours. We’ve lived and learned through it all and since 2009 have started fresh with a brand new staff and renewed passion to give the best tours of Japan possible.

2. Break out of the bus.

PJT doesn’t often use charter buses for tours. While we will rent one out in certain areas when the group gets too large, we prefer to teach our participants how to use the train system and do some independent exploration. Not renting a bus allows us to give participants more freedom to visit and see the things they’re interested, and is more lenient on time restraints just in case they’d like to stay in an area and return on their own.

3. A unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience.

We want to make your trip to Japan the one you’ve always dreamed of. Not only do we offer tours that meet special guests or visit anime studios, but we love introducing new, undiscovered content into our itineraries. Over the years our staff has experienced arranging travel to every corner of Japan, and we work that experience into our tours. Ever wanted to ferry across Tokyo Bay to visit a Kannon goddess carved into a mountain? Climb the rocky cliffs of the sea coast before returning to a ryokan for a night of gaming? Or chat with locals inside a snow hut in the middle of Japanese rice farming country? Say the word and we’ll take you there! We’re always researching to uncover the little gems that others often overlook.

4. Variety & replay value.

We like to take an inventive, new kind of approach to the tour business. We design a variety of pop culture themed tours that cater to every audience. Whether you’re in Japan to attend a festival of ice & snow sculptures, shop for all the latest Japanese goods, or experience Japan as the locals would, we’ve got you covered! Some themes have stayed with us for years, but we remake the itinerary annually so you can always come back to have a new experience! In fact, PJT is always improving services year to year so several participants have told us that their second time around was better than the first. =)  Have an idea of your own? 5. Your money, your way.

We know a tour to Japan isn’t cheap, but we’ll do our absolute best to make it worth every penny. How? If you have any special requests, just tell us what you’d like to do! We’ll look into arranging it for you so that you can get where you want to be, when you want to be there. We’ve given participants instructions on how to visit an Iron Chef’s restaurant, purchased tickets for special concerts, and guided others to rare cultural finds.

If it’s possible, we’ll make it happen – because bottom line: it’s your money, your trip, and you should spend it exactly how you want to. That’s the PJT way. =)
