Cold Steel Brigade: Mission Accomplished!
We’re back and finally fully recovered from the Cold Steel Tour, the first PJT tour of 2008! We met Hideyuki Kikuchi and Saiko Takaki, made it to Gonzo Studio, the Ghibli Museum, and the Sapporo Snow Festival, and there was even a surprise waiting for the tour group — a meeting with Nizo Yamamoto, art director of Princess Mononoke, Castle in the Sky, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and many more, and longtime collaborator of Hayao Miyazaki! Mr. Yamamoto walked us through the process of designing a look for an animated film, showed us some of his backgrounds and introduced us to one of the background artists at his studio.
