Here’s a summary of our adventures on the Tokyo Darkside Tour 2009!

Tokyo Dark SIDE (4/7-4/13/09)

Arrived in Japan after a long flight. First experience in Japan was to eat authentic Japanese ramen.

Harajuku

One of the main fashion centers in Tokyo, we rented out SEXPOT REVENGE SHOP to shop for Neo Punk style clothing and accessories.  The experience was further enhance by fun conversation with the store staffs.

Shibuya

We visited another famous fashion center in Tokyo.  We went shopping at the infamous Gal’s shopping center, Shibuya 109.  Lined with floors and floors of chic clothes, the time flew by quickly.

Daikanyama

We followed the path of the movie Shimotsuma Monogatari (KAMIKAZE GIRL) since the film was set there.  Then we finished the day off with shopping at BABY.

Kaen Temple

Arrived at Kaen Temple to see the sakura blooming.  It was the Japanese picturesque spring image that’s seen often in movies, manga, and anime

Marui One

Visited the newly renovated Marui One for more shopping! The redesign of the interiors has revived the shopping mall that provided a pleasant experience for shopping.  This place is known for the plethora of gothloli and visual kei fashion and goods.  Also made a special visit to Angelic Pretty where we had a special meeting with the fashion designer of Angelic Pretty.  He allowed us to take pictures while shopping in his store.  The last store we went for shopping was Alta which is known for Gal Style goods.

Hotel

There were many complications with the hotel but we got it settled and left 1 hour behind schedule.

Christian Cafe

PJT original menu was set up.  There was a photo shoot in the cafe and conversed with other customers of the store.  People had fun conversing about their interests in gothloli and exchanged information with each other.

Ghibli Museum, Kichijouji train, Shibuya Shibuya’s live house, O-West, is where we experienced a visual kei concert. This is where bands get interviewed by TV, magazines, and other media outlets.  They welcomed us, foreign fans, with warm welcomes.

Harajuku

Went to Takeshita Dori.  Last shopping day in Tokyo.  Afterwards, we went to Jinguu Bridge for a photoshop shoot.  We pretended to be models as we took pictures of each other.

Then relaxed at the Ooedo Onsen (hot spring)

4/13

Went back to the airport to leave Japan…for now.
