Capcom recently announced the 9th entry in the MegaMan franchise.  Known as RockMan in Japan, MegaMan is the blue bomber known for destroying robotic bosses and utilizing their secret weapons.  The game is going to look and play just like one of the old-school Nintendo MegaMan games, so don’t expect any HD cut scenes here.  Rumor has it the developers even went so far as including the same bugs that plagued the old MegaMan games.

Looks like Mega Man 9, the first true MegaMan sequel in 12 years, is confirmed to be released for all three next-gen game platforms as an online download.  The game’s release is set for the end of September in both Japan and America. I, for one, can’t wait to scream in frustration at the game’s difficulty level just like I did when I was a child.
