Pop Culture News, 11/11/08 – Revolving bombs
Straight out of Kiri’s blog comes the winter line from one of my favorite Japanese brands, Revolver. Featuring some ridculously fresh designs courtesy of electro-fashionista So Me, these sweatshirts are the product of forward-thinking creativity and design while incorporating obvious 80s influences. As far as I know, Revolver can only be bought in Japan, and I know where one of my personal stops will be on this year’s Cold Steel Tour. Yum!

This Thursday sees the release of a massive collaboration in a small, but amazing package. Japanese toy giants Medicom team up with LA street-wear legends, The Hundreds, to release the first ever 3-D replica “Adam Bomb.” After working on it for an alleged 2 years, the toy will finally see the light of day (unless, of course, you never take it out of the uber-cool wooden box packaging) on Thursday at both LA and SF Hundreds stores. Limited to 1,000 pieces, of which 500 are being released this year. Although I’m not sure, I’d say it’s safe to assume these will be on sale at Medicom’s Project 1/6 store in Shibuya. No word of yet as to price. My guess? $60.
