PJT on CNN! OMG!
We got quite the shock when discovered that we’ve been mentioned in an article on CNN’s travel-focused web portal, CNNGo. Many thanks to article author La Carmina and CNNGo for spreading the word about PJT and our tours! Speaking of tours…We are currently in the process of getting our busy Summer Tour season planned. We’ll be adding many more tours in the days to come, but currently, here is a little bit about the tours we have on tap for this summer:
Manga Juku Tour: Have you ever wanted to learn how to draw manga? Why not learn in the place that is considered the birthplace of manga? This tour not only features stops at Japan’s top anime, manga, and art supply meccas, but it also includes two special lessons at a manga school. If you’re ready to drop the crayons and get serious about producing your own manga, this is your tour!
Akadot Retail Tour: If you like anime and manga merchandise but are tired of scouring convention dealer rooms for rare items, this is the tour for you. We’ll be hitting Akihabara, Nakano Broadway, and a number of other retailers of rare anime character goods. When we aren’t bargain hunting, we’ll be visiting the Tokyo Toy Show, taking in Yokohama’s finest fireworks display, and even attending a summer festival!
Hanabi Summer Tour: If you’ve ever wanted to experience what summer in Japan is all about, we’ve created an amazing experience for you with our new Hanabi Summer Tour. We’ll be visiting two festivals, seeing two of Japan’s biggest fireworks displays, and weaving between traditional temples and the bustling attractions of modern Tokyo. We’re also trying to organize a special night or two at an Onsen for this tour – details to come.
As always, if you have questions about these or any other PJT tours, drop us a line here in the comments, or just e-mail popjapantravel at gmail dot com!
Finally – I’d like to send a personal thank you to the 30+ people who came out for the PJT “Life in Japan” discussion panel at Anime Detour this past weekend. Even though the panel took place early Sunday morning, people still came out to chat about Japanese Culture, Society, and travel with other sleep-deprived anime fans. Thank you all for joining us, and we hope to see you on a future tour! ^-^
