Pop Japan Travel continues our tradition of taking you inside the world's craziest video gaming event -- the Tokyo Game Show!
When you're not putting the latest technology to the test or admiring the, er, efficiently clothed booth attendants at the show, you'll be visiting Tokyo's Square Enix Store from the makers of Final Fantasy, getting exclusive discounts and gifts in the game and anime shopping districts of Akihabara and Nakano Broadway, seeing Hayao Miyazaki's Ghibli Museum, and meeting video game industry insiders!
Plus: Eat the freshest sushi you've ever tasted, experience the beautiful traditions of old Japan, and join us for an optional tour of the mountain sanctuary of Nikko, then step into a samurai film at Edomura!
Board the bus and meet your fellow gamers on your way into the world's most populous metropolis!

Tour Tokyo
PJT takes you on a trip through the centuries of Tokyo history, from the Edo period to the city's most ultramodern!
Start out the day at Sensoji, a temple in Asakusa, Tokyo's nightlife district at the turn of the 20th century. Then board the Himiko water bus designed by Leiji Matsumoto himself ("Space Battleship Yamato," "Galaxy Express 999") to Odaiba, the artificial pleasure island in Tokyo Bay with game centers, galleries and a genuine hot spring. End the day in Shinjuku, the heart of Tokyo's crazy nightlife, with a look out over Tokyo from the Metropolitan Government Building and a walk through Tokyo's den of sin: Kabuki-cho.

Ghibli 'n' Games
Hop out of bed and set out for Kichijoji, where we'll walk through Inokashira Park (watch out for Totoros!) to the Ghibli Museum, the unique and exciting home of the art of Hayao Miyazaki ("Spirited Away," "Princess Mononoke"), Isao Takahata ("Grave of the Fireflies") and Japan's other animation greats.
Then we'll visit Nakano Broadway, where the rarest games, anime, posters, figures and gachapon roam the halls of the world's greatest otaku shopping center. If you're collecting obscure ancient game systems (like, say, Nintendo's early "Game and Watch" portables) this is the place to go.
Then as the sun goes down, hop the train to Ikebukuro's Namjatown, an indoor theme park by famous game developer Namco!
