Tokyo Anime Fair

Launched by the Tokyo government in 2002 to support Japan’s animation companies, Tokyo Anime Fair is the largest anime industry event in Japan. The fair is regularly attended by the majority of Japan’s major anime studios, broadcast networks, and production companies, most of whom advertise their upcoming anime and other projects with lavish booths on the show floor. Official company cosplayers are on hand to pass out promotional goods and prizes, and it isn’t rare to see giant mascot characters wandering the floor or suspended from the show ceiling. If you want an inside look at the latest trends and projects that Japan’s anime industry has to offer, this is the place to be!
